Hey there, bookworms! I believe I haven't properly introduced myself. My name is Jillian, and I blog over at Jillian's Books, where I let myself flail, rave, and rant on all books both read and loved. Starting today, I'm officially joining my blog buddy, Mishma, in Chasing Faerytales! It's an exciting new journey I'm willing to take, and I can't wait to meet more of you all.

ABOUT MYSELF
I come from Manila, Philippines, the tropical country that rains a lot. Currently, I'm in the 10th grade as a sophomore in high school, where Grammar is my best subject.
I'm also 14 years old, by the way. Surprise! Apparently, most of the authors and bloggers I converse with are shocked to find myself lurking in the blogosphere.

- I'm a writer! And yes, I write books and aspire to be a published author soon.
- I'm also a columnist for this future website currently on the making.
- My most favorite book genres include contemporary, dystopian, fantasy, and fluffy romance!
THIS OBSESSION I HOLD...
Well, it's called BOOKS and WRITING and basically ANYTHING LITERARY. Since I learned how to read at age 6, I have never stopped reading. Growing up, I became attached to Roald Dahl books, fairytales, and a bunch of sticker story books (which were the best, by the way). Books have accompanied me throughout my childhood, even up to this day.
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT MY BLOG
I started out blogging at Jillian's Books (AKA the one with the less creative name in the world). I am awful at thinking up of blog names, so I picked one that didn't even require a minute to think up of.
The title itself is self-explanatory, considering that books and I go together -- (we're a perfect fit!) -- hence, the blog's name. My ultimate goal in my blog is to convert you all into bookworms, much like myself *evil laugh* Kidding. (Not really.) But I do love to share book reviews and discussions there, which is what I'll also do here at this lovely blog!
MOST FAVORITE THING ABOUT LITERATURE
As a reader and blogger, I'm very passionate about books and literature, and I appreciate them in any form. Not only do I enjoy stories and chapter books, but also do I love poems. No matter the form of literature, I love the fact that I forget reality. When reading, sometimes I forget my own problems. Sometimes I forget about the stress from school. And I love that about literature -- I forget.

I really enjoyed these books! I have tons of other favorite books in my shelf, but here are some to name a few. To say that I loved these books is clearly an understatement. I HIGHLY ADORE these books! Very much. My love for reading wouldn't have changed if it weren't for these.
