Hi guys!
Today's the last day of Summer Blogger Promo Tour! It was amazing to be part of the event again this year, and today, we have our last guest blogger of the event over at Chasing Faerytales!
Say hi to Kaitlin from Next Page Please! She's one of my bestest blogger buddies, and today, we both decided to do the Harry Potter Spell Tag!
1. Expecto Patronum
{A childhood book connected to good memories}
Mish : Narnia! It was one of the first books I read as a kid, and I loved it! Narnia was so magical, and whimsical, and started out my love for fantasy! Plus it also led my mum to find me inside wardrobes often! ;D Good old times!
Kaitlin: One of the first series I read as a kid was the Ramona series, by Beverly Cleary. I started this series when I was about 8 and I really loved it. I have yet to reread the series, I don’t know if I even ever will, but the whole series has some great memories with it; one being my carefree child.
2. Expelliarmus
{A book that took you by surprise}
Mish : Dangerous Girls by Abigail Hass. I.DID.NOT.SEE.THAT.ENDING.COMING.
Kaitlin: A book that definitely took me by surprise was Ivory and Bone by Julie Eshbaugh. This was a book that I had been looking forward to read for awhile and I had read the synopsis a few times here and there to refresh my mind on what it was about but when I finally read it, I was really taken by surprise by a few things. The writing was a pretty interesting style for one. The world Ivory and Bone took place in and what time period was also something I was not expecting. Despite these surprises in the book, I really loved Ivory and Bone and the writing and world made the book so much more enjoyable.
3. Alohamora
{A book that introduced you to a genre you had not considered before}
Mish : Never Seduce a Scot by Maya Banks. I have never been partial towards historical fiction, especially those centered around romance, until I tried this book. This book created a monster! I got highly addicted to historical romance after this, especially highland romances! They are my go to books for a romance fix!
Kaitlin: I read many different genres but one genre I tend to stray away from is paranormal. There isn’t anything wrong with paranormal, I just don’t really like reading about those angels and fairies kind of thing. However, recently I surprised myself a little when I read Vampire Academy and really really enjoyed the series. I finished the 6 book series in 5 days! I definitely intend on trying more paranormal reads in the future because I am finding them to be not that bad. :D
4. Prior Incantato
{The last book you read}
Mish : The Star Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi. Well, technically it was a reread, but I fell in love with that book all over again, so I guess it counts! :D

Kaitlin: The last book I read and finished was actually Cursed Child! I had a great time reading it and it was awesome to be back in the wizarding world and also read about my favorite characters and to see where they were 19 years later. I definitely was not expecting a lot of the things that happened in this book but enjoyed reading it nevertheless. Gave it 4 stars. :)
5. Riddikulus
{A funny book you’ve read}
Mish : Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella. This book is hands down one of the funniest I've ever read! It's about a lawyer who ends up in a sticky situation and pretends to be a housemaid while knowing next to nothing about domestic housework. It's just so damn hilarious, and never fails to make me laugh!

Kaitlin: I feel like I don’t read enough books that make me laugh, mostly because I can’t find many books that do do that. The most recent reads that made me laugh out loud was probably the Vampire Academy series, mostly the first book. Yes, even though the series doesn’t seem like it makes you laugh, the main character is hilarious at some points and the way she thinks or things she says make me laugh sometimes. It’s just another reason why I love the Vampire Academy series!
6. Sonorus
{A book you think everybody should know about}
Mish : Damsel Distressed by Kelsey Macke. This is one of my favourite books ever, but it is so painfully underrated. A Cinderella retelling, it tackles both insecurity and depression beautifully, and is a must read in my opinion!

Kaitlin: I feel like with me, a lot of the books I read are pretty well known. One of the books I always recommend to people is Outrun the Moon by Stacey Lee, which is one of my new favorite books. Stacey Lee only has two books out so far but she is by far one of my favorite authors. I love how her books are in a historical setting and her characters are amazing. Not only are they so badass and independent, but they are all people of color and it’s great to have so many races represented in her books.
7. Obliviate
{A book or spoiler you would like to forget having read}
Mish : I wish I never read the Throne of Glass series. Especially Crown of Midnight. Don't get me wrong, I love CoM, but after that everything went downhill for me. Long story short, I am a die hard Chaolaena shipper, and it breaks my heart to hear all the spoilers and read reviews, so I wish I never read that series and became invested in the couple in the first place.

Kaitlin: I saw a spoiler for Blue Lily, Lily Blue back when I first read The Raven Boys and it was a spoiler that I really wished I had not seen because I really wasn’t expecting to see that spoiler in where I saw it and the thing that was spoiled was something I did NOT want happening.
8. Imperio
{A book you had to read for school}
Mish : I kinda never liked the books I read for school, but I ended up adoring Pride and Prejudice. It is my favourite classic now, and I love Elizabeth and Darcy to death.

Kaitlin: I have yet to get many books assigned to me but one I did read for school was Fahrenheit 451. I did it for a banned book project and it honestly wasn’t my favorite read. I liked the story and premise but it did get kind of boring at one point and the characters really did bother me. I do look forward to reading more books for school though!
9. Crucio
{A book that was painful to read}
Mish : Can I pick Damsel Distressed again? I cried through the entirety of that book, as everything mentioned in it hit too close to home. I have never tried to reread it, because as much as I love it, I don't know if I'd be able to go through it again.
Kaitlin: A really painful book I had recently read was Blood Promise, the fourth book of the Vampire Series. It was probably the only book in the series that made me shed some tears. It was such a great book but the events in that book (and the previous book) made me so sad and it was such a emotionally painful read.
10. Avada Kedavra
{A book that could kill (interpret as you will)}
Mish : I am choosing History is All You Left Me by Adam Silvera in the context that this book will break the heart of every single person who'd read it. It's so emotional, raw and beautiful!

Kaitlin: Going with Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix for this prompt because if I were to swing this book at people a few times, I would surely knock them out, maybe kill them. It’s the biggest book of the Harry Potter series and SO HEAVY. Yeah so if a life threatening person was ever in my home, my copy of Order of the Pheonix should *hopefully* do the job
That was fun! I tag everyone who wants to do it!
