By now, I have made it very obvious that A Spark of White Fire is an amazing book, and you won't stop hearing about it from me. #sorrynotsorry. This marvelous space opera/rendition of the Mahabharata needs all the love and praise it deserves, and I have made it my mission to make you all read it. But just in case I haven't made you curious enough - I doubt it tbh - today I have a very exciting post to you all that will do the deed.
The wonderful Sangu Mandanna and I are going to present to you the very diverse, interesting and complex cast of the book, in three parts. Today's introduction is going to be the main three characters of the story, and I can't wait for you all to meet them!
P.S. - I have typed the descriptions next to the character cards for those who need it.
Esmae
Mahabharata Counterpart : Karna
Esmae is the wild card of the trilogy. She was abandoned as a baby and grew up far from her home kingdom of Kali.
She's lonely, brilliant and determined to get back to her family.
Then she wins the the greatest warship in the galaxy, plunges into the wrong side of a civil war and discovers secrets that will change everything she ever believed
Alexei
Mahabharata Counterpart : Arjuna
The golden prince of the stars, Alexei is the rightful heir to the throne of Kali and is now in exile after his uncle's coup. He is Esmae's twin, though he doesn't know it, and he's more than earned his reputation as on of the finest warriors in the galaxy. But is he all he seems to be?
Max
Mahabharata Counterpart : Duryodhana
Max is the crown prince of Kali, the adopted son of the usurper king Elvar and the commander of Kali's Hundred and One. He's fiercely loyal to his father and is dangerously clever, which puts all Esmae's secrets at risk. He also has secrets of his own.
Esmae is awesome. You're all going to love her. And Max is everything...Anything else I would say would be a spoiler, so I'll just distract you towards Sangu's message about the preorder campaign. GO GET THIS BOOK EVERYONE!!!! You won't regret it!
Keep posted for the rest of the characters! Trust me they get more and more interesting.
